This is a great pattern! "Basic Socks ala Jeanne" has a cult following and is one of the most popular patterns I've written. It is written for fingering, dk and worsted weight yarns and is a very easy intuitive pattern. Cuff down with a heel flap heel. I've had lots of requests to make this pattern available online, so here it is. Enjoy:)

All of the patterns I have chosen from Knitting Addiction have been a pleasure to work up. As someone who crocheted first, learning to knit was something I have accomplished in the last eight years with a lot of help from Jeanne and her patterns. On your next trip to the Outer Banks, be sure to allow yourself plenty of time to check out everything in the shop and sit and knit for awhile. You won’t be disappointed!

While on vacation in the Outer Banks, I stumbled on Knitting Addiction. My next knitting goal was to learn how to knit socks, and luckily, this pattern, and Jeanne were on hand to help. I finished one pair while on vacation, and continued to knit socks until about a month ago when I realized I couldn't find my pattern! I never hesitated, just headed over to their website and ordered the pattern. Didn't care about paying for it, just needed it. It's a great pattern, and lends itself to modifications whether for a guy or gal, longer or shorter cuff, etc. It knits up quick, and makes a great pair of socks!
