Introducing the women who are here to help you:
Jeanne Shrader- Owner, Yarn Goddess, Fixer of Most Horrid BooBoos.
| |
Jeanne is a true yarn junkie. She learned to knit as a kid and picked it up again about 12 years ago. After turning in her middle school classroom as a venue for teaching, Jeanne blissfully teaches knitting and other life skills from the comfort of the sofas.
Current Projects: Lots of shop samples and always a couple pairs of socks. Look for the One Button Shawl to arrive on display soon. Project for Jeanne include a -GASP- a flowered cardigan and a summer tee in linen.
Other Activities: (You mean there is stuff other than knitting?) Captain in the Southern Shores Volunteer Fire Department, firefighter, driver-operator, EMT and head of Rescue 12. Wildly fond of her fabulous guy who is the head carpenter at KA, a certain big black dog and a goofy yellow dog. Loves to travel, kayak and be with people who make her laugh.
|
Brittany Adoline- Yarn Slave, Bringer of Much Sanity.
| |
Brittany is in her third year at Knitting Addiction and has now been knitting for 3 years! In addition to challenging garments, Britt posseses an astounding affinity for knitting socks. (Don't ask how many socks she has on needles; she won't own up to it anyway!) A true renaissance person Brittany has a host of invaluable skills. She keeps us organized and her creative eye is a great addition. Need help picking a color scheme for your new project?-got you covered!
Current Projects: Several summer projects, a lacy tank out of Sea Song (coming soon...) and shop samples including a Tee out of Phoenix. Also, the Bamboo is continuing to talk to her. Oh, and then there are the socks.....
Other Activities: The most news worthy item on Britt's "other" list is moving in to an apartment that has more than 500 square feet! Good stuff! The two goofy furry people are thrilled with new playmates at Hayman Park. Britt also joined the fire department as the official photographer (got to use that degree for something-her mother is finally vindicated!).
|
Purrl- Official Greeter and Self- Proclaimed Cat Goddess (is that redundant?)
| |
Purrl is a charming gray cat of unknown origin. Once a starving stray, she walked into Knitting Addiction on a busy Saturday and has spent the last three and a half years walking all over our hearts. She is happy to be worshiped from a distance. Purrl offers approval on finished projects by sneaking a snuggle.
Purrl spent the winter adjusting to the new "fat kitty food" and is happy to report a lower 'fluffiness factor' and drastically increased energy. Her levels of activity are astounding the clients and staff alike.
Other Activities: Chasing the random fly that gets in, block-hoping every display she can reach, and chirping randomly. A little begging for kitty junk food happens daily too.
